Head Chef - New Opening Middle Eastern Restaurant - SW London GBP40-45kHead chef GBP40-45k plus bonus Head Chef required for this new opening in the fashionable Chelsea area and an immediate start is desirable with the planned opening in early September The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seating 70 covers plus an outside catering and delivery service within the local area Brand new kitchen and working for the Chef/patron who is bringing their successful food concept from Bahrain. Opportunity to work in Bahrain pre-opening with the owner to see firsthand their food style Food concept to include small plates, meze and family style dishes with a team of 12 including kitchen porters based on a street canteen, homely cooked style with a modern twistTo be responsible for efficiently running the kitchen on an organisational level with a meticulous and 'hands-on' approach. To lead and manage the kitchen team to achieve the highest standard of food in the restaurant, outside catering and delivery serviceTo be absolutely proficient on all kitchen sections and willing to teach and guide all team members through each shift. To be a strong and confident leader with a desire to teach, motivate and develop the team.The company is then looking to expand to other countries so there is an opportunity to travel and work abroad!Min Requirements:* At least 2 years experience as a head chef and stable career or a very strong Sous chef with London experience* experience in either Bahraini, Persian, Iranian, Turkish, Lebanese or Indian cuisine* experience in volume, upscale restaurant kitchens, outside catering and delivery service* Excellent spoken and written English, with Arabic a plus* Excellent personal presentation* Display team leadership and responsibility* Enthusiasm and interest in food, sustainability and provenance* Working proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, inc. Word and Excel and general IT competency* Ideally able to travel to Bahrain unrestricted for pre opening training within the company You must be eligible to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
