Head Chef Required - Due to an internal promotion for our current head chef are looking for someone to fill his whites!
The Mitre W11 is a buzzy brassiere style pub is situated on leafy Holland Park Avenue, a stone’s throw from the park itself and the tourist hot spot that is Notting Hill. We have a busy sunny terrace for the summer months and warm relaxing environment inside for cooler times. The bar is busy all day with morning coffees right the way through to cocktails and bubbles in the evening.
Our brassiere style menu changes around 5 times a year with the seasons, however we offer great daily specials. We have gained a reputation for seafood and steaks, using one of the best fish mongers in London, James Knight of Mayfair, and have a great butchers Taste Tradition, delivering daily from North Yorkshire. You’ll develop and design the menu alongside the general manager, train the team and take charge of everything. The menu and the job really are what you want to make of them.
So we’re just as interested in who you are as we are in your cooking. Of course, you’ll need to know the ins and outs of stock control, rotation and ordering, and how ingredients change with the seasons. But it’s more than that. What are you like to work with? How do you rally a team? Are you calm when things don’t go to plan? What makes you laugh? We want to get to know you and your way of doing things. And find out how you can bring them to The Mitre.
