Home to the famous South London Soul Train, The CLF Art Cafe / Bussey Building are looking for a new General Manager for an immediate start.
The ideal candidate for the job will be comfortable managing large teams in a fast paced environment, and needs to be able to work late nights on the weekends/ event nights.
You should have a minimum of 2 years management experience as General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high volume wet led (ideally music orientated) venue.
The role involves:
• Running and being responsible for all aspects of the business on a day to day basis.
• Leading, directing and motivating all members of staff.
• Managing and running events.
• Recruiting staff, managing staff rotas and staffing costs.
• Facilities management.
• Opening and closing, cash up procedures
• Liaising with and confidently managing a large security team.
• Spotting areas for improvement, checking on consistency and standards, and dealing with non-performance.
• Knowledge of how events are booked and ideas on how to bring in new business.
A Personal License is required/ any SIA or Health and Safety training would be a bonus.
