About our Client:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef/Head Chef who is confident, level headed. We are open 7 days a week (daytime hours finishing at 6.00p.m.) and so being able to work weekends is essential. Ideally you will have several years minimum experience as a chef in a similar business.
This is a very exciting opportunity for somebody to come in and take control and develop what is already a very successful cafe. The offering needs refining and updating, the kitchen needs a new Rota with different shift patterns and most importantly the owners are looking for a Chef with whom they can communicate well and is trustworthy and willing to run and manage the kitchen the way a professional kitchen should be.
The café is an independent cafe for over 14 years known for freshly made, delicious and quality breakfasts, lunches, early dinners and weekend brunches. We offer an excellent range of Gluten Free and Vegetarian options and looking to increase vegan options too. All food is made in-house right down to the sauces. We have an extensive menu as well as daily counter specials and salads and daily kitchen specials too.
Requirements of the Chef:

Ideally you will have good experience in a similar position.
Must be motivated and keen to help develop the menu.
Good stock control experience and General Practitioner management essential.
You must have a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.
You must be focused on exceptional food hygiene.
You must have a passion for food creativity and food presentation.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Excelelnt management and motiviational skills.
Able to work under pressure coping with our menu and daily specials.
Must have a good understanding and command of the English language.
