Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Collections to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
Peabody and Family Mosaic have merged, creating a new housing association providing 55,000 homes to 111,000 people across London and the South East. Our combined scale and strong focus on London will uniquely position us to revolutionise housing delivery and redefine best practice – and you will be central to making it happen.
Team Leader – Income Collections are key delivery roles in ensuring that the Peabody Group achieves its strategic objectives of minimising arrears, increasing cash collection whilst minimising evictions. The Team Leader - Collections role is also key in embedding a customer first culture that puts the customer at the heart of everything we do.
You will lead a group of Collection Officers to collect income within a set of agreed policies and procedures and through using data to implement a variety of different collection strategies.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Team Leader - Collections:
- experience in leading teams and a proven track record of motivating teams members to deliver improved results.
- experience in effectively engaging and influencing a wide customer base, including engaging with vulnerable customers and those that have perceptions of Peabody Service failure.
- Demonstrably show experience in successfully operating in a complex and changing operating environment.
- To have a good understanding of the importance of data quality and integrity so that you can act as a passionate and credible advocate of the effective use of Data Analytics in Collections.
- Working knowledge of modern Collection IT systems and experience in influencing how these can be made more effective or efficient.
- Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven time management and prioritisation skills.
- Proven attention to detail and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.
- A commitment to continuing professional development.
Qualifications required by the Team Leader - Collections:
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English Language, Grade 4 or above or equivalent.
Desirable
- 2 A-Levels or equivalent
- Charted Institute of Credit Management (CICM) qualification or evidence of working towards it.
