Sous Chef Required in London

We are a busy buffet restaurant in King’s Cross which has been popular for its authentic Thai, Chinese, Indian and Italian cuisine served. We are now looking for an experienced sous chef who is expected to carry out the current kitchen management practices in the absence of head chef.
Professional requirements:
• Previous experience in cooking, food presentation and other culinary arts.
• Ability to calculate food and labour cost.
• Desire for cooking and creating new recipes.
• Capable of working in the fast paced environment.
• Recruiting and training skills
• Food and safety qualification (minimum level required)
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Organize day to day kitchen operations.
• Recruit staff and make rotas as required by the business needs.
• Check stock and prepare order list on a routine basis.
• Quality control and comply with food safety regulations.
• Promote food and standardize the recipes.
• Handle customers’ complaints efficiently and address them professionally.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the head chef.
