Beef and Brew are looking for a Sous Chef for the kitchen in Kentish Town. The business is currently expanding, therefore the role offers fantastic development opportunities for an ambitious chef ready for the next step in their career. This would be particularly suited to an ambitious senior chef de partie or sous chef with the chance to push for Head chef when new sites open.
Beef and Brew is focused on meat, specifically beef, with great quality beer, wine and cocktails, all served in a relaxed, casual environment. We have built a reputation for quality, consistent high standards and delicious, yet affordable food.
You will be responsible for the quality of the food, menu development, maintaining strong G.P’s, minimizing waste, supporting the Head Chef with training new members of the kitchen team.
You will have the following skills:
- Be capable of running the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef;
- Be confident at leading the kitchen team and in communicating with the front of house staff;
- You should be capable of maintaining high standards of hygiene and food quality at all times;
- You have the ability to multitask and delegate to maximize efficiency.
- You should have significant experience cooking with meat;
- experience cooking using a charcoal oven is preferable but not essential.
- Be eligible to work in the UK and have a good command of English
