Sous Chef for Lantana Shoreditch

Lantana is looking for an ambitious and experienced Sous Chef for our Shoreditch site; a 65 seater restaurant trading 7 days a week from breakfast to evenings.
A bit about us:
• Lantana is an Australian owned independent restaurant business with three existing central London locations and a fourth site opening in Southwark in September 2022;
• We are consistently recognised as a leader in our field of all day casual dining from our famous brunches through to evening share plates;
• Our menu is inspired by Australia’s melting pot of culinary cultures and we look to add creativity and unique twists to make our menu stand out from our peers.
A bit about you and the role. You will:
• Be hardworking, ambitious and dynamic;
• Have a well travelled palate and be able to demonstrate a passion for food;
• Have experience in leading a kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence, in a high volume, fast-paced restaurant;
• Be enthusiastic in leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding food quality; and
• Work an average of less than 50 hours per week (doubles rare) with 28 days holiday per year.
We have a supportive and nurturing workplace environment with an emphasis on development and teamwork. We are looking for applicants with a similar outlook. Shouty hot heads need not apply. This position would be an excellent stepping stone for an aspiring head chef.
Depending on experience the position comes with a package of £28,000 per annum.
