The Sous Chef position would suit a driven individual, with an eye for detail and flair for delivering exceptional food within a beautiful building.

Salary of £8 per hour plus live in
70% off food whilst on duty

The role involves:
Running of the kitchen on a day to day basis in the absence of the Head Chef
Lead and inspire the brigade to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly at all times
Help to develop and train the junior chefs
Ensure consistency of produce throughout the kitchen
Supervise service ensuring the cooking and presentation of food is compliant with company standards
Support the Head Chef to ensure targets are met with labour and food costs
Systems compliance company and legal –HACCP, Allergen updates, COSHH
Contributing to menu development sessions with the Head Chef

Qualifications
Preferably a NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Cooking
Food Hygiene level 3 or above
Skill set
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Able to work effectively as part of a team whilst undertaking a leadership role
Identify ways to improve profitability
Demonstrate an up to date and in depth understanding of cooking, trends and methods
Continually strive to achieve goals and objectives
Lead by example and offer clear direction to team
Be uncompromising in achieving company standards
Computer literate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
