Sous chef required for the Empress in Hackney.
The Empress is an award wining gastro pub on the edge of Victoria Park.
Last years Michelin Guide rated us as one of their top 10 favorite pubs to at in the UK.
We took on a new head chef last year - Aleix from Pizarro in Bermondsey. He has brought a definate Spanish element to the menu but awe are far from all Sangria and Paella.
We are looking for an intelligent sous chef that can help intergrate those Med influences into a coherent menu suitable for the Empress.
We use only the best suppliers here - Ginger Pig, Swaledale, Climpsons Coffee, E5 Bakehouse -and have a well set up kitchen with all the Toys you would expect - blast chiller, Rational, ice cream maker, walk-in fridge, Thermo mix etc.
We are a fiercely independent company with just two other site in East London but the Empress is very much the mother ship.
