Sous Chef
Experienced Sous Chef required for exciting newly opened site in Camberwell/Peckham.
Housed on the freshly remodelled ground floor of the Art Deco Southwark Town Hall, Spike + Earl is an all-day canteen-style café with a difference. We serve an innovative brunch menu, signature gourmet sandwiches drawing on influences from the famous joints of San Francisco, and an interesting range of small plates and sides in the evening.
All this is washed down with fantastic coffee from a glass-fronted on-site roastery and a bespoke range of wines, cocktails and beer from local suppliers.
We are looking for a passionate and professional Sous Chef to join our new opening team with responsibilities including; running the kitchen on a day-to- day basis in the absence of the Head Chef; overseeing and training junior members of kitchen staff and KPs; helping to manage food purchasing and storage; making sure that HSE compliance is maintained at all times; assisting with the creation of new dishes, costing and recipe writing; working efficiently, confidently and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
