We are looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our team at the Catford Constitutional Club to support the Head Chef with the day to day running of our kitchen, and take the reigns when the Head Chef is away. We have a seasonally changing menu, with a few pub classics and a daily specials board to try out new ideas.
A little of everything for everyone can be found here at the CCC - spending the evenings in the restaurant with fantastic seasonal food, local Ales, craft Beers and a first class wine list, two private lounges for celebrations with friends. Dancing to live bands and DJ's every weekend, and a beer garden for those long hot London summer days and papers, traditional roasts and bloody marys every Sunday.
All of our food is made from scratch on-site, so proven experience creating and delivering a fantastic tasting freshly prepared plate of food is absolutely essential.
The ideal candidate will
-have at least 2 years experience at senior CDP/Sous Chef level in a similar environment.
-Hold a current food safety certificate
-understand and be up-to-date with Health and Safety laws
-be experienced with ordering, stock rotation
-be able lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
-have knowledge of seasonal British food
-show flair and creativity in planning menus and specials
-be prompt and punctual, and be able to manage their time well
-be able to work evenings and weekends
-Have their own whites, shoes and knives.
What we can offer you
-47 hours per week
-up to 26K p.a basic + £2k p.a tips (approximately)
-28 days paid holiday per year
-Meals on duty
-Laundry service for your work clothes
