Receptionist Job in London

We are looking to take on one receptionists for day shifts and one for night shifts for our small hotel in Notting Hill, London, W2.

This is a customer facing role and you will need to be friendly, polite and welcoming with a good level of spoken and written English. Prior experience in the hospitality sector is a plus.

Your duties will include:

* Front and back office: taking reservations (including maintaining extranet details regarding rates and availability for accommodation agencies including Bookings, Expedia and others)

* Answering the telephone and replying to emails.

* Assisting with guest enquiries, check-in and check-out, cashiering, giving travel and sightseeing information.

*Health and safety and fire marshal duty

*Housekeeping of up to three rooms per day as needed -we have cleaning staff, however the job requires a few rooms to be made by the reception staff per day and the reception staff are required to manage the cleaner, order laundry and order cleaning supplies.

*Minimum of 30 hours per week.  This job includes shifts on weekends and during public holidays.  These jobs require applicants to be able to work variable shift patterns during the week with the day receptionist position having variable shifts running 7 hours per shift and split between mornings and evenings (08:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 22:00).  The night receptionist position has night shifts from 22:00 to 08:00.

*All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and must have NI number.

*Starting rate will be £7.85.
* 28 Days of holidays per year for full five day a week shift pattern, and pro-rata for part time week shift patterns.  The 28 days includes all bank holidays and public holidays).
