We are a small informal firm of lawyers based in the centre of Dalston, London N16 (2 Mins from the Dalston Kingsland overground station) doing mainly health and capacity related legal aid work.
We are looking for someone to provide admin cover during the w/c 18 December 2022 finishing on Christmas Eve (although further admin/paralegal work may be available in the New Year).
The above role will involve reception work, answering the phone, taking messages, dealing with post, assisting fee-earners with opening files, preparing and filing bundles, typing letters, implementing quality assurance procedures and costing/billing files.
It is more important that you have admin skills as opposed legal knowledge/skills.
Essential skills include:
- Ability to produce accurate well formatted documents.
- Ability to touch type (incl. Audio type) with accurately of at least 40wpm.
- Flair/passion for good organisation
- Good written and spoken English
- Proficiency with Excel and Word
- Common sense
Some knowledge of law and/or office work would be an advantage. Law and LPC (or equivalent) graduates welcome to apply.
Hours: 10.00 – 5.30 with half an hour for lunch.
Remuneration: £75 p day or equivalent
