The Boaters Inn is a beautiful riverside pub located in the heart of Canbury Gardens in Kingston. With a warm and vibrant atmosphere throughout the business we pride ourselves on delivering great service and fantastic food weather that be from our garden BBQ, bar or a la Carte menu.
Our Head Chef and his team take inspiration from classic British flavours to modern dining trends. With a strong focus on using local British produce we create menus that change according to the seasons and use only the best our suppliers can deliver us and actively encourage all of our chefs to be involved in the development of our food mentality.
We are looking for a passionate and energised person to join our team. Applicants may be looking for their next career step or a new challenge in a new environment. This position would be an ideal launch pad to go onto a sous chef position in the company within 6 months.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate they can:
• Provide support and solutions for the Head Chef and sous chef.
• Produce consistent results and deliver great food to our discerning clientele
• Maximize profit and business opportunities where possible
• Effectively communicate at all levels with both the kitchen and front of house team
• Adapt and draw on all of your experience
• Be highly organised, self-motivated and able to motivate others
• Fully understand HACCP, Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation.
Work patterns vary from lunch shifts to evening shifts with the occasional double. Weekends are a must. General weeks consist of 48 hours. There are good transport links to the pub with Kingston station a short walk away and a main bus hub located there as well. To begin work with us you will need right to work in the UK, your own bank account, a valid national insurance number and current photographic ID.
The offer:
£23000 - £25000 plus service charge
