For any General Manager, Fuller’s is a special company to work for. You’ll get lots of help and support from Head Office when you need it, but also plenty of encouragement to put your own spin on the pub.
You can take plenty of pride in the role too, knowing that Fuller’s Ales, food and service has a reputation as some of the very best in the business.
You’ll need to be commercially minded, making the right decisions to keep customers pouring through the doors. Importantly though, you’ll be a people-person too - mindful that to many, you’re still a good old-fashioned ‘Landlord’.
And of course, you’ll have a team to look after. So we’re looking for somebody with true leadership qualities – able to keep both the customers and the team smiling.

A great opportunity has arisen a for General Manager to take over at the Blue Boat at Fulham Reach.
Occupying a stunning position right on the banks of the Thames and part of an extensive and exclusive riverside development, the pub is positioned to offer amazing river and sunset views. Located a short walk from Hammersmith station, the Blue Boat is easily accessible to local residents, workers but also those travelling from further afield.
Equipped with a large south facing terrace, the pub comes in to its own when the weather is good and is without a doubt one of the most popular spots to enjoy the sunshine. Inside, the pub has a Nautical/river theme throughout and has a beautiful ‘polished’ finish with a long bar, perfectly designed to manage the high volume trade but also merchandises the premium drinks offer really well. A variety of seating options allow dining customers to either enjoy a relaxed bite to eat or a more formal experience in the restaurant area with Booth seating. The food offer here is all about exciting, fresh, seasonal dishes and with an open kitchen there is a real sense of theatre around the food offer.
Located off the main road, the General Manager will need to make sure that the business is marketed well locally and with numerous zoned areas and private hire options, the Blue Boat is a popular destination for business meetings and private celebrations. With residents located directly above the pub, ensuring that you build a great relationship with them is essential and managing the terrace is essential to ensure that residents are not disturbed by excess noise. With a premium food and drink offer, the next GM should be really passionate about creating a unique and faultless customer experience. Taking advantage and forward planning for local events such as the boat race will be a great way of driving the business forward.
