For any General Manager, Fuller’s is a special company to work for. You’ll get lots of help and support from Head Office when you need it, but also plenty of encouragement to put your own spin on the pub.

You’ll need to be commercially minded, making the right decisions to keep customers pouring through the doors. Importantly though, you’ll be a people-person too - mindful that to many, you’re still a good old-fashioned ‘Landlord’.

Occupying a stunning location on the Northern boundary of London’s Hyde Park, The Swan is about to undergo a stunning redesign making it the most beautiful pub on the park and ‘the’ destination for domestic and international tourists as well as locals. Making the most of its position, the pub will re-open as The Swan, Hyde Park.
The vision is to make the pub part of the park and bring the outside inside. Think exposed, sign written brickwork coupled with bespoke wallpaper depicting the trees and landscape of the park next door. The outside area and upstairs balcony with be completely overhauled and kitted out with soft seating, booths, beautiful garden furniture and filled with plants. The pub will cater for the evolving tourist market of the local area and is perfectly situated next to a main entry and exit point of Hyde Park. The food offer will remain classic but with a quality premium edge. The pub is forecasted to take £50k per week with a 55/45 wet/dry split.
The successful candidate for this position will be a superb people manager who is able to motivate and drive their team. Building relationships with local hotels will be a great way of driving trade through the business. With numerous new ‘zones’ within the pub, the venue is perfect for private hire functions and you will be competent in marketing this feature to attract bookings. An Events Manager will form part of the team to support you in this. experience running a high volume business will be essential.
