Time: 40 hours, 5 days per week, Mon-Fri
13:30 -21:30pm shift pattern
Shift patterns are subject to change -restaurant open 8am-9pm daily Mon-Fri only
Purpose of the role
Your overall responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of all food and beverage areas. You also have a primary responsibility to make a positive contribution to the food operation. You are required to maintain regular liaison with the Head Chef and Club Manager to ensure relevant information is shared in a timely manner. You are expected to perform always in a courteous, flexible and professional manner.
BBC Club is a membership organisation that provides recreational, social and leisure services to the staff and service partners of the BBC with much of the activity centered on our food and beverage outlets.
We are on the lookout for a highly motivated, passionate, experienced and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our team at BBC Club at Great Portland Street. The BBC Club caters for the BBC estates and gets busy at meal times. This is a full time position that runs from Monday to Friday on 13:30-21:30 shift pattern but please be aware that sometimes may require other shifts including early mornings and rarely weekend work.
You will be working closely with the Head Chef to plan, prepare and execute tasty, healthy, well-presented meals and menus. You will be expected to manage the food production process and to communicate effectively with both the kitchen and front of house team. You will have some responsibility for ordering and controlling stock as well as minimizing wastage.
Ideally, you will be qualified to NVQ level.
2. You should have appropriate Food Safety qualifications (at least level.
2) And should be aware of all relevant health and safety legislation.
Most importantly, you should be passionate about food and want to create interesting and delicious dishes. Attention to detail is important and we really want to work with someone who takes pride in themselves and the food that they create.
