We are currently have a position available for a full time Chef de Partie/Junior Sous looking to progress at the Elephant and Castle Pub.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining food hygiene to the current high standards. Including paperwork.
Assisting with menu planning.
Working both hot and cold section.
Leading shift when the Head and Sous chef aren't available.
Running your own section and ensuring you are set for service.
Ordering ingredients over the phone and email.
Being able to think on your feet and create tasty and cheap staff meals.
What we require from you:
Here at the Elephant and Castle , we are a very friendly, diverse team. Due to the open planned nature of the kitchen, this job is very customer facing so fluent English is a must.
We are looking for someone with good work ethic, and a CAN do attitude.
We can currently offer between 40-45. This will included split shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.

A trustworthy individual is essential as you will be trusted with opening the pub in the morning.
You will need to provide your own uniform and keep it clean and laundered at all times.
Although this position is advertised as a CDP, we would happily consider a commis, who is eager to learn and progress within the team.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who has a real passion for food and wants to progress. Our kitchen is getting busier week by week and the chance to cook some fantastic food all made in house will suit a lot of chefs. We offer structured in house training with a realistic progression opportunities within the company. We have 50 pubs across London with each kitchen being individual.
Rate of pay will be negotiated depending on experience
