We live in Putney SW15 on the edge of Barnes (SW13) with Barnes railway station a 5-7 minute walk and East Putney tube just 5 Stops away on the bus (circa 1 mile).
We are an active energetic family consisting of 3 boys (17, 15 and 12 years old) the eldest at A-level college. We’re looking for a live-in to help with the following:
- Preparing / cooking tea/dinner (with help provided on how to cook certain dishes) for the boys and helping with supervising them after school. They invariably have homework and are all self-sufficient.
- Babysitting and cleaning/housework, including ensuring boys keep their rooms clean and tidy.
NOTE. We do the morning shifts and weekday school runs ourselves, so this job starts at 4pm on school weekdays.
This allows the successful applicant to either study full-time or else take a job elsewhere during the school week, with freedom from early morning to 4pm every weekday.
- In lieu of this we’re typically also looking for help on one day of the weekend and will give a weekday off each week in return. (This with flexibility on both sides to accommodate weekends away etc.) We are generally very flexible in other ways also.
In total this amounts to circa 20 hours a week plus two (or three) nights a week babysitting (not hands-on and mainly about machines off and lights out at Xpm.)
This role ideally suited to a relatively independent individual, who can help in and around the house (“home help”) and with meals for the children etc plus babysitting when we are out.
