We are a friendly English family with twelve-year-old twin daughters and one well behaved dog. We live close to Central London in a house in Fulham SW6 near the River Thames. The nearest Underground station is Hammersmith, with easy access to the West End etc.
We are looking for an Au Pair to start in mid-July for a minimum one year stay. It is a live-in position and the role includes a large double bedroom (exclusive use of top floor of house) with private en-suite shower room, TV, DVD and unlimited wifi.
Liking dogs and enjoying hanging out with children are essential.
The hours are varied with plenty of free time, so it might be suitable for somebody doing a part time course, job or hobby with flexible hours.
- School term time: approximately 20-25 hours a week (Monday to Friday, very occasional weekends). Duties include getting our daughters ready for school (5 days per week) and looking after them when they get home (3 days per week), doing their laundry, tidying their room, cooking and preparing their food, and some light household duties including running errands and tidying (we have a separate cleaner).
Walking our dog and looking after her in addition to her professional dog Walkers is also a key duty.
It would be possible to do a term time part time course or study as there is free time during the day and plenty of evenings.
- School holidays: Increased hours with sole charge days to include taking the girls to the park, entertaining them at home, going to museums, cinema, activities e.g. Tennis, swimming, music. Light household duties as above and walking our dog.
Babysitting - One or two evenings a week to be included and we will pay extra for any additional time required.
We require someone who is aged at least 21, organised, trustworthy, confident, energetic, friendly, a non-smoker and reliable with good English. Experienced with children, capable of cooking healthy children’s food and likes dogs.
We would require the candidate to be available to interview in London and to provide good references. Salary is £100 per week. All food and lodging is provided. Two weeks paid holiday per year.
