We are looking for a fun, cheerful girl to join our family as our au pair from September/ October.
We have had au pairs in our family for 10 years now, and they have always been a great addition to our family. We are still in touch with them and they still visit us regularly.
You must genuinely love spending time with children (and dogs!) and have a bright and cheerful personality. We want our au pair to get the most out of the experience of living in London for a year- so we hope to find another au pair who is keen to get involved with our family life but also make friends and enjoy her spare time and what London has to offer.
We are a family of 4- with 2 daughters (Isabella aged 12 and Lola aged 10), and not to forget out 2 lovely dogs Alfie and Fifi.
We live in a comfortable house in Highgate which is a green leafy suburb of London- but within easy reach of the centre (20 minutes by public transport to Oxford Street). Hampstead Heath backs on to our house. Our au pair has her own room and en suite bathroom in the basement of our house with its own access.
Our au pair must be cheerful and friendly and enjoy spending time with our girls. You will work 35 hours per week (Mon-fri) plus babysitting up to twice per week. These hours can be adapted to allow you to attend language school. There is a very good language school very close to our house, and most of our au pairs have attended 2 or 3 mornings per week, which is also a great way to meet other au pairs and make friends.
Your duties will involve helping with girls in the morning and after school. You will also walk our 2 dogs am and pm, but this can be quite a nice part of your job as there are some lovely London parks near our house. The girls are getting more independent and so your role will be to help keep the house ticking over and help supervise the girls before and after school. You must be prepared to Muck in with a busy household- although we have a cleaner to do all the heavy duty work, there is always a lot of tidying and you will also help with the laundry.
