An amazing 0pportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to stamp their personality on this great pub.
The Plough in Sewardstone is currently undergoing an exciting investment due to reopen at the end of October. ‘Quality Pubs for Friends and Family’ is the McFayre Brand Mantra, and the Plough Sewardstone sits perfectly into that particular family of Great British pubs.
Ideally situated on the main Sewardstone road on the outskirts of Epping Forest, just a mile or so from the town centre of Waltham Abbey, surrounded by gardens the Plough’s a lovely spot for relaxing with family and friends. Sundays, in particular, are special here where we have a sumptuous carvery. This business attracts everyone from local workers to Walkers as well as families and couples.
The business will house a bar area, private dining and a relaxed dining space with over 80 seats. We’ll offer hearty and traditional ‘pub grub’, locally crafted kegged and cask Ales, along with a modest selection of wine. The pub also oozes summer potential with a great garden at the side, which is fully kitted with a kids’ play area.
We’re looking for a high calibre assistant manager with exceptional standards and an innovative approach to business. This is an exciting opportunity to gain new trade, to make the Plough a great place to grab a drink with friends or enjoy dining with your family. You must be forward thinking, passionate about hospitality and bring bundles of energy to the role. In addition, local community engagement will be key and you will need to have demonstrated these skills in your current role.

Key Assistant Manager Responsibilities
• Exceeding guest expectations daily
• Leading the team to deliver outstanding service
• Coach and guide new Team Members
• All aspects of cash and stock control
• Management duties including dealing with bookings/functions, Rota planning,
cellar management, and deputising in the Managers absence
Previous experience at Assistant Manager level is essential however further training will be given through the Mcmullen Gold Award.
