Support worker/ Buddy for Charismatic 26 yr old with Cerebral Palsy
Location: Nr Camden, N7
Nearest Train Station: Camden Road
Wage / Salary: £24,960 gross per annum
Driver required? Essential, confident city driver
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle
Desired experience: Physical disability, young adults, manual handling
Start Date: as soon as possible
Days and Hours: 40 hours per week working on a 2 week shift pattern
James 26 is a charismatic young man with a great sense of humour. He is curious and intelligent and has achieved both GCSES and A levels. James has quadriplegic cerebral palsy with dystonia and is dependent on others for all his needs. James uses both low tech and computer based communication aids.
Your role will be to facilitate James's everyday needs, including personal care, help create structured activities and continue to promote his independence and further development of his communication skills.
This job will suit a candidate with a genuine interest in nature or the arts but more importantly, the ability to enable James to follow his own wide range of interests! The candidate will come into this role with energy and a great sense of humour!
Ongoing support is given and the opportunity to be part of a small and dedicated team supporting a client well-known to Snap.
