We're looking for an experienced retail manager to work five days a week (Tues - Saturday ), starting immediately.
As Manager of our Dulwich branch in SE22 south-east London you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store and ensuring that your team deliver the exceptional customer service we pride ourselves on.
Reporting to our Head of Operations, specific responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the store
- Motivating and managing your team
- Leading by example in terms of personal presentation, can-do attitude and levels of customer service
- Ensuring all of our customers get the best service
- Producing monthly sales and stock reports
- Taking part in weekly managers meetings with managers from other Postmark stores
- Stock control including buying to ensure best sellers are always in stock, dealing with slow moving items, working with other stores to maximize stock distrubution.
- Training all new staff
- Responsible for the shop Rota
- Dealing with all staff issues
- Responsible for banking and accurately cashing-up at the end of each day
- Ensuring the shop is always stocked correctly and merchandised
- That all shop procedures are adhered to
What we're looking for
A passion for cards, stationery and great design either professionally or personally would be the ideal start.
After that you should have at least five years retail experience with two or more of those years in a similar role.
With a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to drive sales, lead a team and build working relationships you'll be a confident communicator with people at all levels throughout our small but growing business.
Calm and positive, you'll be able to motivate your team and yourself to provide the very best customer service and lead by example when it comes to commitment and work ethic.
