We are looking to recruit a Sous Chef for a well-known four star hotel in south west London.
My client is looking for a Sous Chef who can work in all areas of the kitchen. The operation consists of a restaurant service, room service, lounge, bar and extensive banqueting. The hotel has all the services you would expect for a five star hotel. The food style in the restaurant has a European/International feel to it.
You need to be from a four or five star background and be an established Sous Chef with a proven track record. Banqueting experience will also be an advantage due to the fact at times you will be working in the banquet kitchen as well as the restaurant kitchen. Selected Sous Chef will help in menu planning, producing quality dishes and carrying out food costing while fine tuning the menu meeting customer demands.
You will need to be an efficient man manager and be able to operate within a 4* high calibre team. While leading from the front you are required to assure high quality food is being delivered consistently in a timely manner. As the Sous chef the successful candidate is required to communicate well with colleagues, other departments and effectively delegate work rendering to the demands in the kitchen.
The sous chef will also be involved in regularly training and development of the team, keeping up with changing food cultures, techniques and maintaining high standard of good hygiene as well as food safety. The successful candidate will also play substantial role in cost control, payroll, stock control and achieve maximum productivity with available resources.
The shift patterns are five single shifts, all shifts are straight shifts approximately 39 contractual hours per week. In return you will be paid between up to £32,000 including overtime, 28 days holidays, pension, free access to gym, swimming pool and tennis court and other hotel based benefits are offered.
