A small, dynamic events catering company with over 25 years experience
We cater for private and corporate clients in their own homes and offices, from small lunches (5-50 covers) to canapé parties and finger buffets (up to 250 covers). The work is varied!
We are recommended caterers at a number of local prestigious wedding and event venues and we provide sit-down fine dining weddings (up to 120 covers) and corporate dinners (up to 400 covers)
Our main focus is the quality of the food, the cooking, presentation and service. It is not all about the General Practitioner !
You will mainly be based in our kitchens in Beckenham, though you will be required to work in client's homes, marquees and other venues
We are a creative company that has grown steadily and we are frequently asked to take on new projects and look at new ventures. We are looking for someone who enjoys new challenges and opportunities and can think outside the box!
The role
To work in conjunction with the head chef and events team to ensure that the food is prepared and delivered to consistently high standards
To participate in menu planning ideas as appropriate
To supervise and participate in the preparation of foods in accordance with company recipes
To carry out ordering and scheduling in the absence of the head chef
To work alongside the head chef at all large events and weddings
The individual
They will be well mannered, well presented and able to interact with the clients and chef team
They must have a real love of food and presentation and a great palate
They must be happy to share their knowledge and expertise to develop the enviable reputation of the company
They must have drive, ambition and be self motivated
A sense of humour is a plus!
Salary and benefits
Guaranteed 160 hours a month
Hours to suit the needs of the business
Overtime paid - our summer months are always very busy
Driving license would be advantageous
