Role Description
A 2 kitchen operation with a brigade of 10 – 12 chefs, responsibilities include:
Daily smooth running of either the main or dispense kitchen and support to Head Chef in all areas of kitchen management
Daily menu planning and costings
Team direction and organisation, maintaining food quality and service standards
Food ordering, stock management, supplier liaison and invoices, weekly stock counting, maintaining 70% General Practitioner margin
Team training, setting standards, assisting with recruitment
Maintaining Health and Safety records
Desired Attributes
This would suit a creative, confident chef with experience at Sous chef level in a comparable kitchen operation.
Good knowledge of current food trends, passion to work with high quality, seasonal produce supported by good organisation, communication and team training skills.
Salary and Benefits
£28,000 – £32,000 basic start salary pa
Permanent contract subject to standard 3 months probationary period; regular salary reviews; courses as required; excellent development and progression opportunities; 28 days paid annual leave; workplace pension; staff discounts and FAM trips re: suppliers
Head chef progression available within group from 6 – 12 months onwards
7 shifts / 5 days – closed Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays (Christmas and NY)
Immediate Start available / able to accommodate notice
