About our Client:
We are looking for an experienced café/bistro/eatery chef to work in their very busy kitchen. We are open 7 days a week (daytime hours finishing at 6.00p.m.) and so being able to work weekends is essential. Ideally you will have 2 years minimum experience as a chef in a similar business.
The café is an independently owned business that has been thriving for over 14 years with an excellent reputation with a very loyal customer base both local and visiting, business people and the students from the local College. We are known for freshly made, delicious and quality breakfasts, lunches and weekend brunches as well as early dinners. They offer an excellent range of Gluten Free and Vegetarian options and looking to increase vegan options too. All food is made in-house right down to the sauces.
Requirements of the Chef:
Ideally you will have 2 years minimum experience in a similar position.
Ideally you will be sociable, energetic and trustworthy and be able to on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
You must have a high level of personal hygiene and appearance.
You must be focused on exceptional food hygiene.
You must have a passion for food creativity and food presentation.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Able to work under pressure coping with our menu and daily specials.
Must have a good understanding and command of the English language.
All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
