The Habit is a small independently owned bistro/cafe, We currently have two sites in the south east London area and are about to open a wine bar in close proximity.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a fulltime chef with experience at senior chef de partie level, excited and enthusiastic to take the next step in their career working towards sous chef level. Cooking menus lead by the season.
You will have shared responsibility of running a small kitchen within an art gallery. Responsibilities will include daily organisation of kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety, day to day kitchen orders for brunch, lunch and evening services, seasonal menu planning with the head chef, recording and reducing wastage levels. You must have excellent communication skills, be able to work from own initiative and enjoy leading a small team, also be able to give clear direction and work calmly under pressure.
Shifts will consist of four evening services and four brunch / lunch services across the weekend.
Rate of pay is very competitive with tips and service charge on top.
