Recently refurbished – this beautiful neighbourhood Pub overlooking the local green offers seasonal modern British dining at its best.
Menus: robust small plate, seasonal all day dining and traditional Sunday Roast – monthly changing to celebrate best in season produce sourcing from small artisan growers and suppliers from around the UK.

Role
Supporting the Head chef in all aspects of kitchen management with small brigade (4 – 5 chefs and KPs). Duties include:
Monthly menu planning including costing and specification sheets
Deputising in the Chef’s absence, running service, team direction and organisation, maintaining high food quality and service standards
Food ordering, stock management, supplier relations and invoices, monthly stock audits, maintaining 70% General Practitioner margin
Team training and development, compliance and HACCP files and procedures, maintenance of kitchen and equipment
Professional well-structured group; work-life balance ethos; recognition and reward culture; Head chef in Waiting programme supported by ongoing development; 2022 openings confirmed – live in accommodation available.
Desired Attributes
This would suit a creative Jnr / Sous chef who loves to cook and plan menus and has a good grasp of seasonal ingredients.
Required skill set – confident at running service, strong plating and presentation skills, good communication and organisation levels, ability to work methodically, motivating and encouraging the team accordingly.
Salary and Benefits
£26,000 to £28,000 basic salary and up to £2,500 service charge pa (£28k - £30.5k package pa)
Live-in accommodation available
Permanent contract subject to standard 3 months probationary period; regular performance related salary reviews; courses as required; Head chef in Waiting training programme; HC progression from 6 months onwards; new openings; 5% pension option; 28 days standard leave; staff discounts; meals on duty; laundered uniform
approximately. 50 – 55 hrs p wk / 7 shifts over 5 days incl. Weekends
