The hotel has 188 vibrant interior designed guest rooms with 150 seater ‘Twenty Twelve’ restaurant and ‘The Stadium’ lounge bar and terrace offering alfresco dining with panoramic views over the Olympic Park. Seven state of the art meeting rooms, all with natural day light can cater for up to 100 delegates.
Now that the Holiday Inn relaunch has been completed around the world, all of our guests are finding we offer even better quality and service. We are looking for individuals with confidence, a strong work ethic, dedication and a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude to get the job done, whilst maintaining our global reputation for friendly service comfort and value. Reporting to the Head Chef, your core purpose is to:
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Tasks
·Prepare and serve a range of menu items that meet customers' expectations, whilst supervising junior members of the Kitchen Brigade and deputising in the absence of the Head Chef
·Adhere to prescribed standards and maintain a workload rate that is sufficient to ensure the efficient running of the kitchen operation and the avoidance of interruptions to service.
·Adhere strictlyto Food Hygiene Regulations
·Food items are delivered in appropriate packaging and all items are checked and temperature at time of delivery is recorded.
·Food items are stored correctly and stocks rotated and temperature recorded.
·Food items are handled, cooked and served correctly.
·Supervise Trainee Chefs, particularly when they are using potentially dangerous equipment.
·Assist other chefs in their department.
·Establish and use clear lines of communication within the kitchen operation and with Restaurant Staff.
·Report all faults or damage to equipment in accordance with hotel procedures.
·Have knowledge of and follow Company and statutory Health and Safety, security and emergency procedures.
·Support all members of the team to achieve and maintain operational standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene and Health and Safety, and ensure that there is minimal wastage.
experience Required:
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
•2-3 years previous experience in a Junior Sous Chef role, OR Senior Chef de Partie
•Knowledge and understanding of current Food Hygiene Regulations.
•Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
•Smart, professional appearance with high standard of personal hygiene.
•Team player
•Customer focused “No Problem” Mentality
•Ability to work unsupervised.

Salary Banding: up to £27,000 per annum for the right candidate
