RESTAURANT MANAGER for rhubarb at Heathrow Terminal 5
rhubarb is expanding its family!
An exciting opportunity to join the ever-growing, dynamic food company, rhubarb.
With 20 years of experience, offering deliciously different food and drink, and service standards that are second to none, rhubarb is one of the most well renowned brands in the world of food hospitality.
As part of our continuous development, rhubarb has created a new destination restaurant within the world's busiest airport, Heathrow at Terminal.
5. Situated in the luxury aisle, the aptly named Pilots Bar and Kitchen is inspired by the glamour of travel in the 1950's. The restaurant opens from 05:30 until 23:00, 7 days a week, and boasts an international diner-style menu, which incorporates British Classics.
We are now seeking a talented and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to join our fun and energetic team, so come and be a part of the story rhubarb is writing.
Job role
- Reporting into the General Manager you will manage and oversee all aspects of the day to day management of the restaurant at T5
- You will ensure that the team delivers the rhubarb product in quality, consistency and presentation and within the financial parameters of the annual budget
- You will be fully versed in all duties within both the restaurant and lounge operations in order to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery, proactively seeking improvements and reacting to challenges as they arise
- Financial management and full ownership of the profit and loss account for the restaurant analyzing sales data, forecasting trends, driving average check spend and increasing the capture rate.
- Demonstrate a solid commercial understanding and knowledge of your specific business area and labor markets
- Responsible for the recruitment and development of the teams, identifying key personnel and retaining talent within the units ensuring adequate succession planning and career progression
- Ensure that all marketing campaigns are implemented at each site
- Maintain appropriate food hygiene practices and due diligence as designated by legislation to include all HACCP, H and S and food safety recording
- Ensure adequate communication and feedback between FOH/BOH, line manager and Head Office to improve the service proposition and enhance operational efficiencies.
Candidate profile
- Previous work experience must demonstrate a background in either a fast paced restaurant environment that provides a close fit with rhubarb's values
- You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in achieving and exceeding set operational targets the restaurant environment.
- Ability to plan strategically to deliver improved revenue streams and enhance team performance whilst increasing overall brand and restaurant awareness
- experience in creating and implementing projects, processes and systems from inception to completion, prioritizing and managing multiple projects and tasks
- An inspirational leader and an excellent team player, able to communicate at all levels and commit to sharing your knowledge and skills.
- You will have the ability to motivate, develop and lead the team by demonstrating Initiative and enthusiasm
- Possess a sense of urgency, can do attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Show and demonstrate relevant diplomacy and tact, maintain confidentiality at all times
- Proficient within MS office, display great attention to detail and are methodological in your work approach.
