KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•To be available to deal with all guest queries and requests.
•Fully conversant with and able to sell all services and facilities available to guests using the hotel.
•Make next destination reservations within Park Plaza Hotel Group.
•Differentiate between different guest types and handle them in the appropriate manner; guests with confirmed or claimed reservations, walk-ins, VIP guests and groups.
•Follow up arrivals using the prescribed procedure, modification of registration cards, special requests, rate changes, room changes and account inquiries.
•Fully conversant with all names and titles of hotel personnel.
•Maintain a professional image on duty, including a polite and courteous manner, cheerful disposition and punctuality.
•Ensure that VIP gifts are checked and in their rooms before the guests arrival.
•Allocate VIP rooms and advise relevant departments.
•To run a credit check reports on each shift, and thoroughly scrutinizes it for any possible doubtful accounts and report to Assistant Front Office Manager.
•Ensure all special requests are followed through and administered.
•To be fully conversant with current availability situation at any given time, and also future availability.
•Report any accident or theft to Assistant Front Office Manager, and ensure follow through with the guest.
•Complete and process any private orders.
•Deal with all incoming faxes and requests after normal working hours, and within a 2 hour response time.
•Ensure all VIP requests are dealt with accurately, and that they receive the appropriate service and attention.
•Ensure guest privacy and security and make sure that confidential information is not disclosed.
•To be fully conversant with, and be able to sell all services and facilities available to guests using the hotel and facilities.
