Located on the corner of Bateman and Frith Street, Chotto-Matte brings together the best of Japanese and Peruvian cultures. Chotto Matte serves up high-quality Nikkei cuisine, colourful cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere. Nikkei cuisine has been called ‘the beautiful love child of Japan and Peru’. It was born out of Japanese culinary traditions evolving into Peruvian culture over the last 100 years or so.
Located on the ground floor is the cocktail bar and lounge, where Nikkei inspired and sake cocktails are mixed by our bartenders. Here you can sit under a vast UV-illuminated mural, created by a Peruvian graffiti artist. You can watch the world go by through the retractable glass wall, allowing guests to spill into Soho and take in the sights and sounds of the bustling neighbourhood.
Chotto Matte has a large dining area with open Robata Grill, serving creations from Group Executive Chef Jordan Sclare and Head Chef Michael Paul. A Sushi Bar, where Chef Keita Sato creates Nikkei cuisine in front of guests.
Chotto Matte is seeking experienced and passionate Pastry Chefs!
What we are looking for:
Pastry Demi Chef de Partie
-Min 2 years experience in kitchen
-Plated desert experience and general pastry knowledge and garnish expected
-Communication skills
-Organisation skills
You must be:
-Hard working and personally driven to succeed in your career
-Enthusiastic about great food and teamwork
-Well presented and confident
-Excellent command of written and spoken English
-Available full time (Day and evening shifts)
-You must hold the right to work full time in the UK
