An enthusiastic and capable nanny is required for early October 2022 to work 2 days a week from 8:30am to 6:30pm. The preferred consecutive days are Wednesday and Thursday, however there is a possibility that these could be changed to Tuesday and Wednesday. The post is for term-time and during school holidays.
We are working parents with two children aged 1.5 and 5 years. The baby goes to nursery for three days a week and the older one attends a local school.
Duties include:
- Providing loving and sensitive attention to both children at all times, and engaging in communication with them to support their personal well-being and their educational development with a consistent and gentle management of their behaviour
- Caring for the baby all day and collecting the older child from school; providing support for doing homework and preparing them wholesome food; supporting them to access after school or holiday activities and preparing them for naps or bed
- For both children it is important to plan an exciting and enjoyable programme of activities
- General household duties include cooking nutritious food, and supporting the smooth running of the home
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a new DBS check, as well as have an up to date First Aid Certificate. It is expected that the nanny has a minimum of two good references from previous employers. We would like the nanny to hold an early years childcare qualification and have a minimum of 2 years experience of looking after children. We would welcome the possibility of employing a nanny who speaks fluent Italian.
