This is a lovely job for a Housekeeper to work for an informal British family who live in a beautiful home in situated to the North of London. They do need an experienced driver for the role but if you would like take the train into Central London their nearest train station is within walking distance of their house, and the train is 30 minutes into Central London.
The family have older children who are not with them on a full time basis and a new baby due in December. They are not looking for a nanny but you will need to be 'child friendly' and be happy to help with the baby when needed.
The role will be to help manage the house and make sure it is well presented at all time, you will be responsible for general cleaning, doing the laundry, changing beds and other household linens. The job will also include meeting and greeting visitors, some wardrobe management, making sure that the children's uniforms and gym kits are ready, making up guest bedrooms when needed, and anything else that comes along that needs to be done to make the house run smoothly. They would appreciate someone who could prepare vegetables or cook a simple family style supper if needed, but this will not be every day. This role needs someone who has bags of initiative, can organise their own day and work without supervision.
It is essential that you have worked in a similar role as a housekeeper in a private residence for at least 3 years with suitable references. You will need to speak good English, have a 'can do' attitude - and come to work with a happy Smiley face! You will also need to be an experienced driver for this role.
This is a live in role working 5 days a week with Sunday and Monday as your days off. Your accommodation will be in a separate part of the house with your own bedroom and bathroom, your own kitchenette, and your own front door. Salary is in the region of £450-500 net per week depending on experience.
