We are seeking a highly motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team working out of the company’s bakery in Hoxton, East London. Initially for 4days a week from 9am to 5pm.
This job is an immediate start so be ready to work a test shift following a short phone interview.
Your main duties will be to:
Assist the Logistics Supervisor and Bakery Manger in lifting, moving and packaging.
Training to manufacture food
Packaged food products straight from the bakery into sealed sleeves.
Package finished products for dispatch nationally or overseas.
Working with food products to a high level of hygiene protocols.
Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness at all times.
Have a clear understanding of HACCP food controls.
The successful candidate does need to be able to to speak English to a high level, with some form of commercial kitchen experience. Having worked in a food manufacturing environment an advantage but not essential
You will take pride in the quality of your work checking quality at all times with a high level attention to detail. Full training is given so you should also be able to follow instructions in a calm, considered and efficient manner, whilst being prepared to solve problems with initiative as they arise.
Ongoing support and training is provided to maintain continuous hygiene protocols in the work place with Level2 training in food manufacturing certification paid for by the company.
The successful candidate will then have the confidence to maintain high levels of cleanliness and precision to delivery packaged products, ready for distributed to over 300 stores.
Maintaining good time keeping is essential, so a reliable 'can do' nature and attitude will lead to you becoming a key member of the team with more days work on offer and further opportunities to work in the food manufacturing environment.
