We are looking for a receptionist to join our team at Curzon House Hotel for 4 shifts (30 hours) per week on a Rota basis.
We are a small, friendly budget hotel, 4 minutes walk from Gloucester Road Station.
The ideal candidate will:
-have previous experience in a similar environment
-must be computer literate
-be well presented with an outgoing personality
-have excellent customer care skills
-be able to work under pressure and able to resolve guest problems effectively
-have excellent organisational skills
-have lots of enthusiasm, a professional manner and not afraid to take on extra responsibility when needed
-have an excellent command of written and spoken English
The main duties will consist of:
-welcoming and greeting guests
-check-in and check-out
-ensuring guests are satisfied and looked after
-taking payments, cash, credit card, online and over the phone
-processing all types of reservations, walk-in, online, over the phone and fax, via booking engines -answering all emails and dealing with all types of enquiries
-answering all phone calls, internal and external, in an efficient and professional manner
-taking accurate messages and transferring calls
-refunds, discounts and invoices
-dealing with travel agents
-setting up and managing extranets, channel manager and booking engine
-update and control availability and rates
-up sell rooms and maximize revenue
-allocate rooms and meet guests requirements beyond their expectation
-stock control and delivery orders
-complaint handling
