Recently refurbished – this beautiful Pub set over 2 floors with garden offers seasonal modern British dining at its best. Offering a robust small plate menu on the bar, the seasonal all day dining menu showcases good classic Gastro fare along with a selection of more refined Restaurant dishes.
With an open kitchen and new induction equipment in place, there’s also an additional dispense kitchen set off the function room on the first floor. Seasonal ingredients are sourced from small, award winning British suppliers to ensure first rate quality. Loyal local following and popular for private bookings (celebrations, large groups).

Role Description
Working closely with the General Manager, full kitchen management responsibilities include:
Menu planning every four weeks, costing to av. 70% General Practitioner and spec. Sheets
Daily smooth running of kitchen and organisation of the team with support of Sous Chef and brigade of 6 – 7 chefs and KPs
Stock control: ordering, supplier relations, stock audits, uploading invoices and General Practitioner calculation on MS Excel, maintaining 70% General Practitioner target
Hiring, training and development, rotas, payroll, personnel files, apprenticeships
compliance, food hygiene, health and safety files, HACCP records and operational standards, maintenance of kitchen and equipment
Staff and area management meetings
Desired Attributes
This role would suit a confident, creative and experienced Head Chef with a background in high end Gastro or Rosette levels kitchens. A Chef with lots of energy and drive, good people management skills who can produce quality Gastro menus with high volumes in mind.
Good knowledge of current food trends; strong organisation and training skills; proven track record of delivering on General Practitioner and targets without compromise to quality and standards desired.
Salary and Benefits
£36,000 to £38,000 basic pa and £5,000 + service charge (paid monthly) and £5,000 annual bonus (paid quarterly / subject to expected KPIs – 70% General Practitioner , Labour cost, Kitchen Hygiene)
Total: £46,000 to £48,000 pa (package rising with food sales)
Permanent contract subject to standard 3 months probationary period: regular salary reviews (food sales dependent); courses as required; 28 days paid annual leave; 5% workplace pension option; new openings / movement; progression (Area Executive chef); group discounts; laundered uniform; meals on duty
approximately. 50 – 55 hrs p wk / 7 shifts over 5 days incl. Weekends
