Passionate about independent music, the arts and social responsibility, we are an independent music and arts venue with café, bar and restaurant specialising in quality ethically and locally sourced vegan food.
We have a permanent vacancy for a Head Chef and Kitchen Manager for 35 - 45 hours per week, to prepare delicious vegan food and manage the kitchen.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Food preparation
- Menu development
- Stock control, ordering and waste management
- Kitchen management and safety
To be successful in this role you must:
- Have solid experience in a similar role with positive references
- Be capable of managing a kitchen on an ongoing basis
- Have appropriate food safety qualifications
- Be passionate about top quality, freshly prepared and healthy food
- Be self-motivated, proactive, hardworking, flexible and innovative
- Be willing to take the initiative, work under with responsibility for your actions, and go the extra mile when needed
- Be able to keep calm and work in an organised manner in an often busy and demanding environment
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Be presentable and customer friendly
- Speak fluent English
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom
