As a luxury events business, rhubarb have worked on many of the world?s highest profile events across some of the most iconic venues.
The core event business situated at our purpose built premises in South West London now caters for over 600 events per year, for 10 to 2000 people at a time. We are now looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our London Events team.
Job Role
- The Head Chef will be responsible for the daily running of a busy events kitchen and core team of 10.
- The operation comprises main kitchen, pastry, canape production and tasting / development.
- Working closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary Director to ensure the business ethos and premium service is delivered at all times.
- Managing the production and delivery of events ranging from private dinners to corporate functions, film premieres, fashion shows, wedding receptions and race meetings in London and beyond
- Liaising with event planners, sales and creative team to ensure seamless service and on-trend innovation is displayed at all times
- Designing and developing menus, creating new recipes and consistently raising the bar
The Person.
- The ideal Head Chef will have a proven background in event catering and a sound knowledge of production and logistics
- A stable and progressive career within high end (ideally Rosette level as a minimum) restaurants or hotels
- Excellent product and market knowledge of food trends and the London dining scene
- Well presented, client facing and engaging
- A natural leader with the ability to inspire, motivate and direct a team of talented chefs
