Beef and Brew is about to open its second site, this time in Haggerston, in a fantastic old pub site. Our first restaurant, in Kentish Town, has been named as one of the best steakhouses in London by the Evening Standard, GQ, Hot Dinners and Open Table. Our second site will continue to have a focus on affordable steaks, but we’ll be adding some extra vegetable options, bar snacks and the odd seafood dish too.
We’re looking for a head chef to help lead the kitchen team. We want a great working environment, with confident, talented chefs. Work should be fun, as well as serious. We’re not fans of the old school military environment with 100-hour weeks. We want a self-motivated and mature team that can deliver.

You should have the following skill set:
- Management experience, having run a team previously. This could be as a Sous Chef.
- experience maintaining gross margins.
- experience designing and maintaining an efficient and effective Rota, with specific percentage targets.
- A capacity to maintain high standards of hygiene with associated HACCP requirements. experience dealing with EHO essential.
- An understanding of modern, high quality and simple food.
- Demonstrate a capacity to understand our menu and its evolving requirements.
- You should have experience cooking in all sections of the kitchen.
