Head Chef Theatrical Event Company
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional chef to take charge of the kitchens of a theatrical event company providing interactive theatre and fine dining in an immersive entertainment experience.
Following the complete refurbishment of a railway arch to create a professionally themed 48 cover theatre/restaurant and bar guests enjoy an interactive theatre production and 3 course meal during the performance. Shows last approximately 2 hours and there are up to 4 performances a day. The menu is set, and runs alongside the production, service times are tight and the kitchen works closely with the front of house team over timings etc. Everything is produced in house and there is a lot of prep on busy days, standards throughout are high. The kitchen also caters for vegetarian and vegan diets and the full range of food allergies etc.
As Head Chef you will leading a small team with responsibility for:

All food production, stock management and wastage.
Menu development for future productions
Staff training and retention
compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation.
Food safety and hygiene
The kitchen budget and General Practitioner.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a well-organized professional chef with good experience of event catering, a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. You will have a proven track-record in kitchen management including a thorough understanding of kitchen budgets and General Practitioner ’s.
Required: Qualifications / Skills / experience.

Passion and enthusiasm for food and quality,
Creative flair
experience of event catering
Fully conversant with Hygiene and Health and Safety best practice.
Strong training skills. Self-motivator. Inspirational leader.
Thrives on the pressure of a busy service.
Excellent kitchen manager
Confident, professional

We are looking for a resilient, clear thinking, creative individual who wants to be part of this exciting new company start up with the commitment and skill base to create new menus for future productions, constantly striving to improve our product.
Interviews will include a cooking trial
5-Day week (Approximately 55 hours)
Starting salary: £35,000
