Head Chef – Busy Independent Gastropub in South London.

We are currently looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team at the acclaimed Prince Regent, in Herne Hill.
This is a great opportunity for a well organised and creative Head Chef (or an ambitious Sous Chef) to continue to grow their career and run their own kitchen within a well established and respected, independent South London Gastropub.
As Head Chef you will get to cook seasonal fresh food, with the highest quality ingredients. All of our food is made from scratch. We personally choose our meat and fish direct from stallholders at Smithfield and Billingsgate Markets and we source our ingredients as locally as possible.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Day to day operation and administration of the kitchen.
-Delivery of  a high quality menu whilst controlling costs.
-Creation of new dishes, reacting to seasonal changes.
-Training of kitchen team members
-Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation.
-Liaising with suppliers
-Rostering effectively and controlling kitchen labour.
-Working closely with the General Manager.
In return we offer:

Basic salary up to £36k
Bonus potential
2 Conseqtive days off each week
28 Days paid holiday per year.
Ongoing Training for Food Hygiene, Food Allergies, Health and Safety, Fire Awareness etc.
