We are looking to recruit an experienced HEAD CHEF to build a new and enthusiastic team for small but busy kitchen.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience to take the next step to running their own kitchen in a cool and vibrant location.
We have 27 draught taps (over 750 rotating P/Y) plus 40 bottles from all over the world from right here in the UK to down under. Whether you’re a craft beer nerd or just like drinking the best beer you can, we have something for you.
This chef position will allow the right candidate to create a menu using their creative flair that attracts the many different people who live, work and visit Dalston on a daily basis and grow the food business whilst achieving the right General Practitioner.
We are looking for a British/American concept and food that can be eaten without fork and knife.
Small but generous portions with a price range from £4 to £9.9 plus Sunday roasts made from scratch.
You will be responsible for:
Recruiting, training and managing a small but enthusiastic and passionate team of chefs and KP's (including Rota and scheduling of staff)
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and maintaining all paper work and due diligence.
Sourcing suppliers and costing dishes to achieve agreed General Practitioner 's
Carrying out monthly stock takes
Working with the GM on menu innovation, design and promotion
The successful candidate will;
Be confident managing a team
Be able to demonstrate proven ability at a similar level
Have the ability to manage General Practitioner 's and food stocks
Be organised. Writing specials, costing dishes, rotas and all other paperwork in good time.
Have proven knowledge of all Food Safety practises, to include HACCP, COSHH
Have a positive and professional work ethic
Have good communication skills with fluent English
Have valid proof of right to work in the UK and National Insurance number
