Sylvan Post is seeking a charismatic and enthusiastic General Manager with a keen eye for detail and experience of leading and inspiring a team within a quality pub.
Sylvan Post was once a Royal Mail Post Office serving the community of SE23 and beyond and is now a vibrant part of Forest Hill life. Located only a short distance from Forest Hill Station, its original assortment of 1960′s Post Office decor, vaults, stamp collection, and vintage charm makes the Sylvan Post a quirky yet traditional pub perfect for any social occasion.
Spread across a large open bar and dining area, and two reception rooms, Sylvan Post is a spacious yet lowly lit and cosy family friendly local. Boasting five real ale pumps, we offer a handpicked selection of local and regional Ales. Our ever-changing bottled beer selection and our dynamic spirit and wine lists means that there is always something new to try.

The successful candidate will have:
-Prior experience as a General Manager
-A warm, personable and professional nature
-Passion for and knowledge of food and drink and the London scene
-Ability to maintain effective food hygiene and health and safety requirements
-Ability to control wage cost and liquor stock
-Ability to implement and maintain effective systems, processes and controls
-A willingness to roll up your sleeves and lead your team by example
