Absolute Taste Inflight, Wandsworth, has a great opportunity for a Commis Chef to join their strong, passionate, talented kitchen brigade.
The successful candidate will work alongside the kitchen team to prepare food for private Chartered planes on a daily basis for breakfast, lunch, dinner and events.
Main responsibilities:
Deliver consistently high levels of service to ensure complete satisfaction of customers
Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific Absolute Taste standards.
Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled within the specific section of the kitchen.
Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are completed.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and be able to explain dish descriptions.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements under the H and S act 1974 and Food Hygiene.
Ensure all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs are carefully adhered to.
Support all colleagues within the kitchen as and when necessary.
Design and cost new menu items as requested.
Correctly following and completing all procedures and check lists.
Be flexible in working hours when needed, working days and workload.
Keep the facility clean and tidy at all times.
