The team behind BAO are seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef for their exciting new Restaurant, which is bringing a new Asian dining experience to Chinatown, Soho.
XU is a stylish, upscale and refined restaurant with an exciting menu that reflects the quality of locally-sourced ingredients, including seafood from Scotland and beef from Cornwall, and to ensure the quality of our dishes we produce everything in-house, including the baking, fermenting and curing. The 75 cover restaurant is split over 2 floors and the restaurant interiors are a reinterpretation of a cinematic set in 1920s Taipei, Shanghai.
We will offer the successful Commis Chef:
 Up to £9.00 per hour, dependent on experience;

As Commis Chef, you will be responsible preparing the mise en place for the Chefs de Partie and assisting them in producing outstanding and creative dishes, using fresh local ingredients and innovative recipes, that wow our guests.
If you have the following, then we want to hear from you:
 Previous experience as a Commis Chef or other food preparation role (beneficial but
not essential);
 Passion for Asian cuisine;
 Creative nature with excellent attention to detail;
 Passionate about hospitality and willing to learn new skills;
 Personable, motivated and an enthusiastic team player.
