They're a leading media house for the social age looking to launch a brand new delivery food concept. At the moment, they're solely focused on delivering high quality content to their audience of over 40 million people on Social Media. What started out as a Facebook page has evolved into a multi-platform media company that generates over 4 billion video views, and 20 million unique users to their sites, each month.
The Job:
With over six million people following every recipe they post on their food channel, they want to bring their innovative and delicious creations to the masses. They’ve built a large commercial kitchen in order to start a food delivery service in London, so they need a team of experienced chefs to create menus that are both imaginative and profitable, including a la Carte and daily specials.
We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join our new concept, so you need to be working in this position already and have strong cooking experience. The ideal candidate needs to be a complete self-starter and feel confident and comfortable working in a brand new team, with support of our Head Chef and Sous Chefs, and able to handle all food production to ensure every dish is prepared to a high standard.
This is far from your basic delivery chain, you’ll be cooking innovative dishes, some never seen before, so there will be plenty of involvement from you in menu development keeping abreast of growing food trends.

Some of the skills you need:
An understanding of worldwide and emerging food trends on social media and online
Energetic and creative with a passion for food to create this exciting new venture
An out of the box thinker who's not scared to try new food concepts
Previous Commis Chef experience
Worked in a similar quick service fresh food restaurant or retail concept
Running your own food blog or food social page is a big bonus!
experience with different cuisines and cooking styles including vegetarian, vegan and healthy options
Excellent and innovative culinary presentation skills
A forward-thinker who can prevent wastage
Some of the responsibilities:
To assist in food production and ensure that menu dishes are prepared to a high standard
To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the department.
Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
Helping to maintain the kitchen department including, cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety.
